Center for Disability Services in Joliet names chief financial officer

JOLIET ? The Board of Directors is pleased to announce Sharon Asher-Hall has been named chief financial officer of the Center for Disability Services, formerly United Cerebral Palsy of Illinois Prairieland.

Asher-Hall has been in the accounting and finance arena for over 20 years. She has worked on a full-time basis for the last 13 years gaining experience working for public accounting firms, Fortune 500 Companies, private companies and nonprofits.

Her most rewarding experiences were working as the general fund accounting manager for the Salvation Army Metropolitan Division and as senior accountant for Planned Parenthood of Illinois.

Asher-Hall serves the needy through her church, True Story Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago. In her spare time, which is limited while she is pursuing her master's in accounting and finance, she loves to spend time with family at the park, go to the movies and out for an occasional dinner.

Asher-Hall lives in Plainfield and has been married to Shawn for 20 years. The couple has three children in Illinois.
