Nursing home attendant charged with sodomy of a patient

FLORENCE - Police said a Florence man who was working at a local nursing home has been arrested for sexually assaulting a patient at the facility.

Florence police detective Sgt. Greg Cobb said Zachariah Lee Reeves, 21, of Florence, was arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree sodomy and second-degree elder abuse.

Reports indicate Reeves is a certified nursing assistant and was working at Mitchel Hollingsworth Nursing and Rehabilitation Center when the incident is supposed to have occurred on Nov. 2.

He is in jail on bail of $60,000.
