BRIEF: Niagara Falls Memorial dedicates new cardiac and stroke center
Buffalo News - 1/4/2018
Jan. 04--Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center officials dedicated the hospital's new $4.3 million cardiac and stroke care unit Thursday.
The facility, on the hospital's third floor, includes 23 private rooms and a large supply of high-tech rehabilitation equipment. It replaces a 40-year-old unit that hospital managers considered outdated.
President and CEO Joseph A. Ruffolo pointed to work over a decade to upgrade the medical center's cardiac care facilities, including a new emergency department, the Heart Center of Niagara and a cardiac catheterization lab.
"We can now provide the complete continuum of care required to combat the rampant high rates of cardiovascular disease across Niagara County," Ruffolo said.
