Two more residents die from COVID-19 at Cumberland County nursing home

Two additional residents have died from the coronavirus at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Cumberland County officials reported Tuesday.

This makes the third resident death from COVID-19 since the center began weekly testing on Nov. 5. The first resident death was reported on Monday.

As of the latest round of testing, 39 residents and 14 employees had tested positive with COVID-19 this month, the county said.

The county said testing will continue at the facility until there are no more positive tests.

Since the start of the pandemic, three residents have died fro COVID-19, the county said. 41 residents and 26 staff members have tested positive for COVID-19.
